Hi.

After I photographed my first wedding, I texted my dad with, "I never want to do anything but this for the rest of my life." Schmaltzy, but true. I'm the type of person who romanticizes things.

I'm also the type of person who captures intimate, authentic moments. Moments you didn't even see happening. I believe getting to know a couple has a lot to do with the images I produce.

I'm excited to photograph you. I'm excited to meet you. Your families. Your friends. I want to hear your stories, discover what makes you tick. I want to experience your idiosyncrasies. No, really, I do. It's how I work.

Confessional: My idiosyncrasies:

1. I grew up in Iowa. I've never been on a farm but I have a strong affinity for cows. Do you have a farm? Do you have cows? Can I come to your farm? Please?
2. As a young girl, I had a crush on David Copperfield. The Magician, not the novel (I'm sure the novel is nice too). It's no coincidence my Fiance bears a resemblance to David Copperfield. He doesn't cut me in half though. Bummer.
3. My father and grandfather are both accomplished musicians. I was in marching band. For one year. I marched but I sure as hell didn't play.
4. I'm 5'11". My arms are really long. I knock things over. I'm working on that. I promise not to knock things over at your wedding. Maybe.
5. I have a thing about germs. If you lick your fingers and try to shake my hand, I won't do it. Not even once. I may even walk away.
